What is SUN OF THE DESERT?
SUN OF THE DESERT is a modern general store inspired by the grit and magic of the Mojave. We curate thoughtfully made goods, vintage workwear, apothecary favorites, handcrafted accessories, home essentials, local art, and one of a kind finds that reflect the spirit of the desert. We’re a community driven gathering space built for locals, travelers, and the curious.
Why don’t I see an item from your store on the website?
Our inventory moves quickly, especially our vintage and one of a kind pieces. Not everything makes it online, and many in-store items sell out faster than we can photograph them. If you saw something you loved in-store, feel free to email or message us on Instagram and we’ll do our best to help.
Where are your stores located?
We currently have two locations in the High Desert:

You can shop both in person, explore what’s new each week, and discover exclusive items only available at each location.
Can I sell my items at your store?
We love supporting artists and makers, but we can only take on a limited number of new vendors. If you think your work is a perfect fit for the SUN OF THE DESERT aesthetic, please email us with photos, pricing, and a short introduction. We’ll reach out if it feels like a good match.
Do you ship to me?
Yes! We offer shipping throughout the U.S. and select international destinations. Shipping options and rates will appear at checkout. If you have questions about international shipping, just send us a message.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes - both digital gift cards (for our website) and physical gift cards (for our stores) are available. They make the perfect desert-loving gift.
Can we host our private event at one of your stores?
We occasionally open our spaces for private gatherings, workshops, small celebrations, and community events. Availability varies by season. Send us an email with your event details and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate.
Are your stores available for photo + video production?
Yes. Both locations make beautiful backdrops for lifestyle, editorial, and brand shoots. Please reach out with your date, production needs, and any location requirements. Rental fees may apply.

Are you hiring?
Sometimes! We’re always excited to meet people who love the desert, community, and hospitality. If you'd like to join the team, send your resume and a short intro to our email. We’ll reach out when openings become available.
What’s your return + exchange policy?
All sale are final and we do not offer refunds. We provide a 7 day exchange period. If you purchased your item online, reach out and we’d be happy to help. If you shopped in our stores, stop by with your receipt and we’ll take care of you.
