In Conversation: Formations

On Sunday, November 22 from 2pm - 5pm, at SUN OF THE DESERT in 29 Palms, we’ll be hosting In Conversation: Formations, an afternoon with independent designer and publisher Mike Lohr, founder of Formations Magazine.

Formations explores the American desert through photography, architecture, literature, art, and design. Mike will share the ideas behind the publication, his approach to independent publishing, and how each issue comes together.

The afternoon will include an interactive presentation, followed by a hosted Q+A moderated by Liz Lapp of Hi Desert Times, giving guests an opportunity to hear more about Lohr’s work in editorial design and printed matter.

Following the conversation, guests are invited to stick around for a creative community mixer and connect with fellow artists, designers, writers, makers, and desert residents.
