Space Jam is Back
A signal is moving through the desert.
It starts somewhere above the rocks, skips across the palms, hums through the heat, and lands at The Historic Plaza in Twentynine Palms on Sunday, August 16, 2026. From 7pm–10pm, the Second Annual Space Jam returns for a night of glowing bodies, strange frequencies, black light art, sweet treats, cocktails, and full desert-to-deep-space energy.
Space Jam is part of the Area 29 Galactic Gathering, a weekend-long celebration of UFO culture, desert mystery, cosmic creativity, and strange encounters across Twentynine Palms. For one night, The Historic Plaza becomes a neon landing zone built for night-sky watchers, dance-floor aliens, curious travelers, local weirdos, and anyone ready to leave regular Earth behavior behind.
DJ MMB will be playing a Daft Punk tribute set, bringing chrome-plated beats, deep-space bass, and desert disco energy under the Twentynine Palms sky. Come dressed to glow, ready to move, and prepared for a little transmission from beyond the atmosphere.
Artist Joshr will be painting a black light mural live during the event, creating a glowing piece in real time as the night gets darker and the colors start to hum. Mojave Moon Apothecary will bring the Planet Zelatron Experience, adding another layer of cosmic mystery to the evening. Guests can also step into the glow for Space Portraits by Kurt Hamm, leaving with photographic proof that contact was made.
Fuel your mission with sweet treats by Galaxy Pies, cocktails for space travelers, and spacey vendors stocked with dance party essentials, glow goods, and other cosmic offerings. Whether you’re coming for the music, the art, the outfits, the photos, the sugar, or the strange desert energy, Space Jam is your invitation to follow the signal.
